How to use this photo tool

Some forms, programs and recipients cannot handle HEIC. This tool creates a JPG copy without an account or sending photos to a server.

From HEIC to a usable JPG

  1. Choose your HEIC photos

Choose or drop one or more HEIC or HEIF files. The preview shows the first photo in your selection.

  2. Choose quality

High quality (90%) is the default. Choose a smaller file or maximum quality if preferred. Pixel dimensions stay the same.

  3. Convert to JPG

Start conversion. Photos are processed one at a time on your device, and the resulting JPG files are checked.

  4. Preview and download

View the JPG in the results dialog. For multiple photos, browse thumbnails and download individually or with Everything as ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Photos and metadata are processed locally, not sent to us or stored on our servers. The website loads only the required program components and, if you choose, an example file.

Is HEIC to JPG conversion lossless?

No. JPG uses lossy compression. A high quality setting may reduce visible differences but does not retain all original image information. Your original HEIC is preserved.

Are location and capture date preserved?

No. This tool does not copy source metadata, including GPS, capture date and camera details. Color profiles and Content Credentials are not copied either. Visible information in the image remains visible.

Can I convert multiple HEIC photos at once?

Yes, up to 20 within the stated limits. Download successful JPG copies individually or together as a ZIP. An unsuitable file does not block the others.

Why can a JPG be larger or look different?

HEIC can store photos more efficiently than JPG. JPG quality affects size. HDR, additional images and source color profiles are not preserved, so brightness and colors may differ.
