How to use this photo tool

Frequently asked questions
Can the redaction shapes be switched off in the downloaded PNG?
The PNG has no separate redaction layers. The affected pixels are replaced by an opaque color. The original file on your device is preserved separately.
Does the tool automatically detect faces or number plates?
No. You decide what to cover. Check reflections, small text, QR codes and the filename too.
Can I undo a mistake?
While editing, select and delete a shape or use Undo. A previously downloaded PNG remains unchanged; create a new copy after your adjustments.
How do I make text or a number plate unreadable in a photo?
Cover every character with an opaque shape, check the edges and create the redacted copy. Inspect the PNG before sharing. You mark the areas yourself; there is no automatic detection or blurring.
