Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between rotating and flipping?

Rotation changes the direction of the entire photo. Horizontal flipping swaps left and right; vertical flipping swaps top and bottom as seen on screen.

Does quality stay the same?

Pixel dimensions are preserved or swapped for quarter turns. PNG adds no lossy compression to decoded pixels. JPG is re-encoded. Color profiles and source metadata are not copied.

Can I straighten a photo by a few degrees?

This tool rotates in 90-degree steps. Free-angle rotation and perspective correction are not available.
